No part — reset the double-pole breaker
Flip the dryer's breaker completely off (both halves) then on. One tripped leg gives exactly this fault while the dryer still seems to power up.

- Reset the dryer's double-pole breaker fully off, then on.
- With the breaker OFF, check the cord where it bolts to the dryer's terminal block for burn marks or a loose screw.

- Replacing a visibly burned power cord — only with the breaker OFF and confirmed dead.

- A burned or backed-out 240V outlet, or house wiring dropping a leg — call a licensed electrician. 240V wiring is not a DIY guess.
